PNG Digital Arrival Card (PNGDAC) Requirements: Complete Document Checklist

What you need before you start

The PNGDAC asks for the same core information every digital arrival card asks for. Have these four things ready and the form takes about ten minutes:

PNGDAC checklist:

• Your passport, valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date
• Your flight details: airline, flight number, and the port/airport you are arriving through
• Your arrival date and, where asked, your departure date
• The full address where you will stay in Papua New Guinea (hotel booking or host address)

Passport details - get these exactly right

You will need to enter your given name(s), surname, passport number, nationality and date of birth exactly as they are printed in the machine-readable zone of your passport. This is where most rejected submissions go wrong: a name that does not match the passport character for character can cause your PNGDAC to be flagged at the counter.

Do not use nicknames, shortened names, or the order printed on a boarding pass. Copy from the passport data page itself.

Flight and travel details

Enter the flight number of the flight that physically lands in Papua New Guinea, not your first departure flight if you have connections. If your itinerary changed after booking, use the flight you will actually be on - the card is matched against the passenger manifest of the arriving flight.

Accommodation address

The form asks where you are staying in Papua New Guinea. For most travellers this is a hotel: enter the hotel name and full street address, not just the booking reference. If you are staying with friends or family, their full residential address works. Cruise passengers should use the vessel details as instructed on the form.

When to submit - the timing requirement

The PNGDAC must be submitted within 72 hours before arrival in Papua New Guinea. Submitting outside the window either fails or risks not being linked to your arrival record.
